The crew makes the trip. We have said it for years, and every season proves it again — the country is spectacular regardless, but it is the people leading you through it who turn a good fortnight into the one you talk about for years.
Returning faces
Dean is back for another season, which will please anyone who has travelled with him before. He is our longest-serving guide and a diesel mechanic by trade, which is a reassuring combination when the road turns corrugated.
Tim returns as well. If you have ever wondered how the Kimberley’s landscapes were formed, ask him — he spent years exploring for minerals and gas across four continents, and the geology of this place is a genuine enthusiasm.
Graeme joins us again after a season that guests rated highly. He grew up on a wheatbelt farm and spent years running expedition trips out of Nairobi, and he brings that steadiness to every departure.
New this season
Jesse is into his second season with us. He spent two years circling Australia before joining, and has a real connection to the country he now guides through — plus a good yarn around the fire most nights.
Every one of our crew holds remote first aid qualifications, and every vehicle carries a defibrillator and satellite communications. Out there, that preparation matters more than anything else we do.
