On the road

The end of another Kimberley season

The last coach is back in Broome, the gear is packed away, and the wet is on its way. A look back at the year.

The final coach rolled back into Broome last week, and with it another Kimberley season is done. The gear is cleaned and stored, the vehicles are in for their service, and the first clouds of the build-up are starting to gather.

What the season looked like

Good water. The wet had been generous, which meant Mitchell Falls was running well into July and the gorge pools stayed deep right through. Bell Gorge was as good as we have seen it.

We ran a full slate of Adventurer departures, the Explorer trip in June, and the coastal runs at both ends of the season. Groups were, as ever, the best part — including a few guests back for their second and third trip with us.

Thank you

To everyone who travelled with us this year: thank you. To the crew — Dean, Tim, Jesse and Graeme — thank you for looking after our guests the way you did.

The 2027 dates are already online and moving quickly. If this season’s photos have you thinking about it, have a look while the good dates are still there.

See you out on the Gibb.
