The people who make the trip

Two crew on every departure, all remote first aid qualified, and every one of them here because they want to be out on this country.

Owners

Glenn and Jaye Ursino

Glenn and Jaye took over Kimberley Safari Tours in late 2023, and run it as a family business with their young family alongside.

Glenn spent years working in logistics and project management across remote Australia — the Pilbara, the Kimberley and the Northern Territory — as well as offshore and overseas. A lifelong love of offroad travel and camping led the pair to step away from city living and share that passion with guests instead.

Guides & leaders

Your crew on the road

  • Dean Gibbs, tour leader, photographing the Kimberley landscape

    Tour Leader

    Dean Gibbs

Our longest-serving guide, and a diesel mechanic before he was a tour leader — which is exactly the person you want on board when the road turns rough.

Dean led overland trips through Africa and South America before settling into the Kimberley. He knows the country well, and brings a calm, practical presence to every departure.

  • Jesse Laws, tour guide

    Tour Guide

    Jesse Laws

Jesse spent two years circling Australia before joining us, and is deeply connected to the country he now guides through.

Out of season you will find him in the South West fighting fires and spending time out on country. He is a good yarn, a cheeky grin, and a real respect for the stories woven through this landscape.

  • Tim Brice, tour guide

    Tour Guide

    Tim Brice

Tim grew up camping and trekking in the UK, then spent years exploring for minerals, oil and gas across Africa, the Middle East, the Americas and outback Australia.

If you want to understand how the Kimberley’s landscapes were formed, he is the one to ask — the geology of Western Australia is a genuine enthusiasm of his.

  • Graeme Andrews, tour leader

    Tour Leader

    Graeme Andrews

Graeme grew up on a family farm in Western Australia’s eastern wheatbelt, which set him on a lifetime of wide-open spaces and hands-on exploration.

He spent years based in Nairobi leading expedition trips across Africa, and brings that experience — plus a deep knowledge of the Australian outback — to every journey.

Come and travel with us

Our crew look after groups of 16–19 guests — small enough that everyone gets looked after properly, and nobody is a number on a manifest.
